Ada Belle's Barn
![]() |

Step back 300 years to see the Palmetto "home"
prevalent in this area and see how the Indians ground corn and made a canoe
from a tree.
In the Farm House explore what it would have been like to live a hundred
years ago in a rural area. Pull water up from the well or view an outhouse,
and let our mule Ada Belle show you how sugar was made in the "good
old days". At the blacksmith's shop, get a first-hand look into the
grueling job of a small town blacksmith, see how long it takes to split
and cut wood shingles for a roof, or grind corn into grits or cornmeal
using a hand grinder in the barn.
