The Zachary Newcomers Club was formed in 1984 to provide a medium by
which new families may become better acclimated to Zachary and the surrounding
community.
Initiated by the Chamber of Commerce, the club remains actively supported
by the Chamber, City of Zachary and many local businesses. The club has
become a strong volunteer base for many local organizations such as schools,
the City, the Chamber of Commerce, the McHugh House Museum and others.
Actively involved with many charities throughout the year the club is a
proud supporter of the Zachary Food Pantry, Council on Aging, FAZE and
the Zachary Historical Association.
The club is governed by a thirteen member Board with the five executive officers being elected by the membership each April. The club has it's own Constitution and By-Laws.
